Thomas E. L. Dewey

Tom Dewey is a commercial litigator at Dewey Pegno & Kramarsky LLP, where his practice emphasizes securities, international and intellectual property matters.
Dewey’s legal experience also includes practice as a litigation associate at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP, where he worked on cases involving claims ranging from monopolization of technology markets to publication of defamatory statements, including several significant jury trials, a New York Stock Exchange Arbitration and an International Chamber of Commerce Arbitration.
Before joining Cravath, Dewey served as a law clerk to the Honorable Charles L. Brieant, then Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. He is a 1991 magna cum laude graduate of Georgetown University Law Center, where he was an Editor of the Georgetown Law Journal and a member of the Order of the Coif.
Dewey worked for two years as a foreign policy analyst in Washington, D.C. before attending law school. His work has appeared in the Washington Post, the Wall Street Journal and the Congressional Record, and he has been featured on CNN, Bloomberg and Fox News.
Dewey received his A.B. in 1985 from Harvard College.
