Juan Torres
Community Organizer
As a Community Organizer in the Programs Department, Juan Torres will use his passion for educating the public and improving the environment while working primarily on the League’s Clean School Bus and Democracy initiatives. Juan is a native New Yorker with an interest in environmental management, climate dynamics, and wildlife conservation, and environmental justice. Previously, Juan worked for The Nature Conservancy where he piloted and launched their Uplands Management Program in Maine, and he also worked closely with The Bronx River Alliance on invasive species management for the Hudson River. Juan graduated from Unity College with an MS in Wildlife Conservation and Management as a Professional Biologist and he received his BA in Psychology with a minor in English from Baruch College.
