The State Department of Environmental Conservation is committed to allocating 40% of the Volkswagen settlement money towards cleaning up buses and President Biden has proposed a $20 billion federal investment for electric school buses. The time is now for communities like Buffalo that experience some of the highest asthma rates in the state to take the lead in transitioning to electric school buses.
