Lead and Copper Movie Night

Virtual

The New York League of Conservation Voters Education Fund (NYLCVEF) invites you to join us on Wednesday, October 26, as we mark National Lead Poisoning Prevention Week with a virtual screening of the soon-to-be-released documentary film, Lead and Copper, directed by William Hart.

The film shows the impact of contaminated water on disadvantaged communities and how the political systems helped, hindered, or harmed residents in Flint, MI, Washington D.C., and Newark, NJ.

Hear opening remarks from NYLCVEF President Julie Tighe, Congresswoman Grace Meng (NY-6), and Lead and Copper Director William Hart.

Following the screening, the NYLCVEF will host a panel discussion with advocates who are working on the lead service line replacement issue in New York State.

With thanks to Lead and Copper producers Alex Olsen and Patrick Letterii, this is a free event.

When: Wednesday, October 26, 7 – 9 PM
