    Cleaning Supplies

Most of the common drugstore cleaning products are unhealthy for humans, pets, and the environment. They can accumulate in fabric materials or the air and act as irritants to the skin and respiratory system. You can opt in for green cleaning materials, or do it yourself from this list of homemade cleaning supplies from common kitchen ingredients

    Energy

Most people leave their appliances plugged in, even when they’re off. When they’re plugged in, appliances are in standby mode even when they’re off, resulting in a constant energy leak. Unplug small appliances when they’re not in use.

Take advantage of windows as a natural air conditioner. Ceiling fans are also a more efficient option than a air conditioning consoles, but if you want to use one, make sure to replace filters to increase their efficiency.

If you’re thinking of buying new lawn care appliances, buy electric ones to cut gas consumption

Open the blinds and use sunlight as a natural light and/or heater. Spring days vary, but there are natural solutions to both hot and cold days.

    As always, use LED lighting.

    Around the Home

Clean the track in sliding glass doors. Accumulated dirt can ruin the door’s seal and cause air leaks, setting off energy systems.

    Houseplants are natural air filters

Clean out the refrigerator’s condenser. If pet hair and dust accumulate, the fridge will use more energy and money.

Soon it’ll be time to start watering the plants outside again. Water when the sun is low to limit evaporation and maximize their water uptake.
